I love art. And I live in a constant engagement with it. I connect art and cultures — both professionally and in my private life. Engaging with art means, for me, a continuous process of exploration: a creative, never-ending journey through which one is constantly growing. My roots lie in the ideas of Bauhaus and De Stijl — alongside antique art and design, I have been fascinated from an early age by the art and cultures of other countries. Japanese Zen, and its understanding of wabi-sabi, which draws attention to the beauty of silence, simplicity, and impermanence, has accompanied me for many years. Whether in Pilsum on the coast or in the centre of Düsseldorf, you will always find me away from the mainstream. Because only there do we find the necessary quiet for art.
